We only sell rugs made of handspun wool and natural dyes; we travel overseas to import most of our rugs directly. We deal directly with producers. We know our weavers personally. Many of our productions support schools established for the weavers and for their children. We do most of our own repair work. In some cases, where the rug is quite damaged we will bring the rug to an outside, trustworthy source for repair. Our hand-washing is done at an off-site facility. Our affiliation with Accredited Rug Wash carries insurance on each rug in our care of up to $100,000. Just as we work in partnership with our weavers, so we work in partnership with our designers and with our customers. In addition to the rugs we carry, we also offer tribal weavings, kilims and a selection of antique rugs. We are happy to work with you on the special order of a custom-made rug. Custom made rugs entail a wait of from four to six months. There is a serendipity about all fine rug shops. Please call or email us. Although we do sell rugs through the net, we prefer that you visit our showroom and if you see something you like, try it in your home. We look forward to meeting you and talking about rugs. At Little River Oriental Rugs, you will find a friendly smile and a splendid cup of tea!
