Acadia Cottages is located on the western side of Mount Desert Island surrounded by Acadia National Park. Tucked away beneath a tranquil forest canopy, Acadia Cottages offers privacy and solitude within walking distance of the charming boat building village of Southwest Harbor. Gordon & Lisa Wissinger look forward to welcoming you and helping to provide an ideal base from which to explore Acadia National Park, nearby Bar Harbor and other island attractions and activities.
Immediately upon arrival and check-in, you’ll be glad that you chose Acadia Cottages for your visit to Maine and Acadia National Park! As you drive up the private, tree-lined driveway to your cottage, you will begin to relax and ease into a tranquil and peaceful retreat. Inside the cottage, you’ll find that Gordon and Lisa have attended to every detail to make your stay wonderful, from small surprises like fresh baked cookies to information on all that there is to do during your visit, to a great selection of movies for unwinding at night.
While the cottages offer a quiet retreat, you are still within minutes of Acadia National Park and within mere steps of great restaurants and shopping, including lobster pounds, cafes, gourmet dining, galleries, and boutiques.
