Silverado Vineyards was established in 1981 by Ron and Diane Miller, and is owned in part by Mrs. Walt Disney. It comprises two vineyards, totalling some 185 acres, located on either side of the Napa River on part of what was originally the Rancho Yajome Mexican land grant. Varietal wines produced here are Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon. Open for wine tasting and sales, daily 10.30am-5pm in summer, and 11am-4.30pm in winter; tours by appointment. Tasting fee: $7.00.
