Originally built by a German blacksmith in the late 1800s, the winery was acquired and restored in 1972 by the Devitts, then abandoned and reestablished in 1998 by the Gerdes family, Manny Gomes and Rodney Young, present owners. The winery produces approximately 4,000 cases of varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc, Zinfandel, Merlot, Petite Sirah and Sangiovese, mostly from grapes grown in the estate’s 80 acres of vineyards. The winery is located in the small Pope Valley, east of Napa Valley. Visitors by appointment only.
