Newer winery, located in the Mount Veeder area, housed in a renovated, turn-of-the-century stone cellar. The winery offers premium varietal Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon from both its 280-acre hillside vineyard on the slopes of Mount Veeder as well as its 350-acre estate vineyard in the Pinnacles area of Monterey County; estate-bottled Merlot is also offered. The winery also boasts an extensive collection of contemporary paintings and sculpture. The winery was established in 1989 by Swiss businessman Donald Hess. Open for tours, tasting and sales, daily 10am-4pm; tasting fee, $3.00. Self-guided tours. Art gallery on premises.
