The Casa Munras is located just a few blocks from Fisherman's Wharf, Historic Downtown Monterey, shopping and restaurants. The Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row are just a few minutes drive from the hotel. Casa Munras is built around the original hacienda of Don Esteban Munras, the last Spanish diplomat to California. The hacienda was built in 1824 and was one of the first built outside the Royal Presidio of Monterey.
