Housed in the historic Shriner's Auditorium (now Polly Rosenbaum Building) and part of the Arizona Department of Mines & Mineral Resources, the museum exhibits emphasize both the beauty and utility of our mineral resources. - Over 40,000 people (including 20,000 school children) visit annually. collections : The collection includes over 19,000 minerals, rocks, fossils and artifacts. Included are mineral specimens, lapidary material, faceted stones, rocks, mining related artifacts, and a Tognini sculpture. Representative ore samples are archived as reference for the prospector. On weekdays, a research library is available, including books, periodicals and historical mine files.
