This elegant restaurant in the pre-Alps of Treviso is one of the most highly acclaimed in the region and will add the perfect touch to your tour of the Prosecco zone. The warm, refined atmosphere alone justifies the price of this restaurant, but it’s the polished traditional dishes that will leave you raving about your meal for months to come.
The Trevisian kitchen makes full use of the finest seasonal ingredients in a range of dishes, including sopa coada (pigeon and bread soup), one of their specialties. For an antipasto, try the crostini with duck liver pâté. All of their desserts are homemade, but the pan zuppa con crema alla vaniglia (prepared with vanilla pastry cream) is one of the best.
The extensive wine list surpasses most in the region and your dinner at Da Gigetto wouldn’t be complete without a tour of the wine cellar where they store some of the finest (and priciest) vintages and aged balsamic vinegars.Wine tastings can be arranged as well.
