The Chiesa di San Francesco marks the highest point in town. Dating from the 13th century, it contains some paintings from the 14th and 16th centuries, but if it’s art you’re after, you’re better off visiting the town’s main museum inside the Palazzo Comunale (Town Hall), the Museo Civico e Pinacoteca. It contains both archeological remains (especially local Roman finds), as well as a collection of ecclesiastical art taken from churches in the area.
