In Dec 2001, after almost 12 years of structural work, Pisa’s most famous sightseeing attraction (and probably the best known Italian monument in the world) was finally reopened to the public. Aspiral staircase leads up the marble tower’s 294 stairs to the panoramic terrace above the last floor.
