Euro 62 to Euro 72 for a double in high season. Although not equal in amenities to its upscale cousins in the area, it is nevertheless filled with ambience from the past (including period furniture and décor). The exception is the restaurant, which feels almost Mediterranean. One of the first houses built after the Turkish occupation, it was sold in 1727 when Serb Simon Szabo sold “his own house for 90 forints to György Boldogi.” The Boldogi family retained possession for a century and then sold it to András Szvetics, a municipal “senator,” and hence the name. The original owners have long since passed away. The café is passable and offers room service. A television in every room and private bath, laundry, Internet, and 24-hour reception make it a fair price.
