Doubles run 8,100 HUF for a “two single-bed” room and 10,600 HUF for a double-bed room. Anna Hotel sits like a fairy tale beside the road, complete with rounded towers. If you enter the cukrászda (a sweet-shop), its sweet-smelling delights charm visitors. But it is truly a “fürdõ” hotel, with full access to the Miskolc Tapolca Cave thermal baths and spa (see Cave Adventures). You can arrange boating on the lake next to the baths or hike the surrounding trails and amble the park-like grounds.
The beds are classic European, with thick, cozy comforters, not the blankets used by American hotels, and the rooms have SAT TV (with some English stations), minibar, in-room bath, and room service (usually from 6 pmto 10 or 11 pm). The pub is good, but the restaurant is one of the best in the region, serving full-course Hungarian and international cuisine, with pastries and sweets the specialty. But you will pay accordingly (see Places to Eat).
