As the name promises, the Art’otel Dresden oozes art, but mostly post-modern art, not the Baroque that seems to dominate much of Dresden. More than 600 paintings and sculptures by local artist A Penck decorate the hotel. Rooms are very comfortable, furnished with mostly neutral colors. Some may find the decoration a bit over-styled but for the in crowd it is all cutting edge here. Service is first-class. Not surprisingly, there is an art gallery inside the hotel as well.
