Behind the castle gate, at the same level as the entrances to the castle and the cathedral, is Schlosskrug am Dom a pleasant restaurant with a 100-seat beer garden. The food is simple local dishes, including beer garden standards such as bratwurst auf sauerkraut, eisbein, and baked potatoes, offering great value. Service is fast. The beer garden has splendid views of the roofs of the old town. The restaurant also has a few simple bedrooms available.
