The Kaiser-Friedrich Terme, has recently been restored to its 1913 glory. It is described as an Irish-Roman bath with several of the rooms decorated in an Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) style. The spa is fed by the Adlerquelle (Eagle Spring), which has a temperature of 66°C (151°F). The Romans may well have used this spring themselves as the Roman gate behind the spa suggests. The spa includes an array of hot rooms, both dry and steam, cold rooms, warm and cold baths, and relaxation rooms with special lights and aroma conditions. The basic entry is Euro 17.50 for four hours. To this can be added all sorts of spa treatments and massages, ranging from Euro 8 for a sand bath to Euro 40 for a full aroma massage. A small drinks bar and an oxygen bar are also available. Textile-free bathing is preferred– meaning clothes will be frowned upon. The spa is open daily from 10 am to 10 pm, on Tuesday for women only. The minimum age is 16 and a strict non-smoking policy is enforced.
