Hidden all the way in the back of the Marché Vernaison, the oldest part of the Marché aux Puces, Chez Louisette is a holdover from another era, full of Gauloises-smoking Parisians and Edith Piaf wannabe’s singing soulfully to a rowdy crowd. The décor is a bit kitsch with its checkered floor and Christmas garlands on the walls, and the traditional food may be a bit pricier than that in the neighboring market restaurants, but it has an unmatched atmosphere, and the kids can finally relax.
