Located by the west gate of Chaoyang Park, Suzie Wong is where old meets new, and east meets west. The decor is part 1930s Shanghai and part post-modern, while the presence of a number of Ming dynasty beds gives it an old opium den feel. It’s a lively spot, always bursting at the seams, and was recently voted “best place to find a date,” by that’s Beijing magazine. If the heat of the dance floor gets too much for you, then head upstairs to the outside terrace, which offers great views of Chaoyang Park and a quieter candle-lit vibe.
